En la actualidad, millones de hombres, mujeres, niñas y niños son víctimas de trata de personas y sufren situaciones similares a la esclavitud de los siglos XVIII y XIX. Esta forma moderna de esclavitud es una grave violación de los derechos humanos y representa un delito tipificado tanto en el código penal de numerosos países como a nivel europeo e internacional. Pero, ¿qué falta por hacer?; ¿por qué sigue existiendo este fenómeno en el siglo XXI?; y ¿qué puedes hacer tú para abatirla?
